Simon and the other fishermen (James and John) have been fishing all night on the Sea of Galilee. Jesus tells them to "put out into deep water" and lower their nets. Though it is in the same spot where they have fished all night . . . and caught nothing . . . Simon says, to Jesus: "At your command, I will lower the nets!" We all know the story of how the nets become so full of fish, they began to tear! This homily describes in detail the "call" of Simon and the other fishermen to "follow Jesus"!
