This "Transfiguration of Jesus" homily describes Jesus going to the mountain to pray. While He is praying, His face changes in appearance and His clothing becomes "dazzling white." Then, miraculously, He encounters two Old Testament figures, Moses and Elijah. They discuss the "exodus" He is going to make from this earth, specifically His crucifixion and resurrection! Then, in a cloud, His heavenly Father comes on the scene to say, "This is My chosen Son; listen to Him." This is a frightening experience for Peter, John, and James; who, at the time, do not tell anyone what they have seen.
