After His resurrection Jesus appeared to the seven of His disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. Peter has just said, "I'm going fishing." After fishing all night and catching nothing, they came back to the shore. Jesus was waiting for them and called out . . . "Children, have you caught anything to eat?" They answer no, so he says, "Cast your nets over the right side of the boat, and you will catch something." They do that and bring in a large catch of 153 fish! After fixing breakfast for his disciples, Jesus takes Simon Peter aside and asks him three times, "Do you love me?" The emphasis of this homily is to show how we demonstrate our love to Jesus by loving and caring for others!
