In our lesson today, Jesus is teaching the people. He is aware that they are “Spiritually hungry.” They are coming and searching to see His power and to hear His words, the Words of Life! Jesus receives them and speaks to them about the Kingdom of God, and He heals those who need to be cured. Jesus is also aware that these people have not eaten, so He knows that they are also “physically hungry.” Jesus does not judge them by what they could have or should have done! He simply acknowledges the physical and spiritual realities of the situation.
