29 - 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time
In today’s reading, we hear a story of contrasts. A Pharisee invites Jesus to dine at his home. An unnamed woman, who has heard that Jesus is dining with the Pharisee, enters the courtyard and approaches Him, sorry for her sins. Weeping, she anoints the feet of Jesus with her tears and wipes his feet with her hair.
Although Jesus loves them both the same, the woman receives forgiveness, while the Pharisee, because of his unrepentance, remains unforgiven.
