Where is Jesus? This is the question His anxious parents are asking, not taking into account that He is "about His Father's business" . . . in the Temple, teaching the Jewish leaders from the Word of God. He is teaching them about a "new and living way" - the New Covenant. Going about His Father's business (in the Temple) parallels our being about our Father's business in the Church, as we learn more about our faith and also teach others. May we humbly and gratefully accept the "new and living way," the covenant of grace, that He has provided for us through the Cross!
