Of all of God’s commandments, which is the most important?  Jesus says:   “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart,with all your soul, and with all your mind” (vs. 37).

What is the second most important commandment? "You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (vs. 39).

So, what determines whether or not we truly love God?  In John’s Gospel, Jesus says: “If you love Me, you will keep My Commandments.” 14:15).   Jesus says:  “If you keep My commands, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Fathers Commandments, and abide in Him” (15:10).

When we abide in Christ, with regard to our time, we love God all the time, both emotionally and practically.  We submit our thoughts to Him and to His control.  We submit even our intellect to His revealed will.
